Major brands and retailers are giving consumers more of what they want – online product videos. A recent CNBC reports, “In September, 32.6 million unique users watched video on a retail Web site, up 20 percent from a year earlier, according to comScore.”
More importantly, retailers like ThinkGeek are seeing a difference in online sales. “ThinkGeek doesn’t have exact figures for how much video has boosted sales … but overall sales are up 30 percent since the site started using video two years ago.”

The jewelry business can be tough for online retailers as nearly 84% of consumers prefer to buy jewelry from a store vs. online. However, it also appears that various media (magazines, TV, direct mail) are very influential. New research proves how online videos impacts what and where consumers buy their jewelry.
